Orlando Pace - Former - Go Buckeyes Go

Orlando Pace

The Big Man of Buckeyes linemen!

Orlando Pace's friendly persona is the perfect cover for one of the most intense players to grace an OSU offensive line. Indicative of the greatness ahead, Pace started for the Buckeyes as a true Freshman, on his way to being a four year starter while at Columbus.
Appropriately nicknamed "The Pancake", he flattened opposing defensive linemen with ease. His 6'6" frame was more than enough in clearing the way for Buckeye runners to advance for extra yardage with his "Pancake Block". Be it for the running game or for passing situations, Pace was the example other college coaches pointed to in teaching the skils of the trenches.

Among the accolades Orlando Pace received at the end of his illustrious Buckeyes tenure -

Amazingly, he even placed fourth in the balloting for the Heisman Trophy, an award usually given to quarterbacks, running backs and receivers!
As a pro player with the St. Louis Rams, he has displayed the same drive and consistency which made him a star at Ohio State, playing in each game for the past four seasons, and being selected as a Pro Bowl player for three consecutive years.
